Happy International Women’s Day

March 9, 2023

Yesterday, International women’s day, I thought I will be free & celebrate by parting and dancing seriously, little did I know what was lined up for me.

My day started with 7:30 AM meeting which I happened to be the only woman in it, well!

After that, I joined Kush bank Luncheon with a group of amazing women from different career field who were invited to discuss insights about financial inclusion, access to financial services and opportunities.

I collected 12 voices of women expressing what international women’s day means to them for VOA news and it was aired.

While at it, I convinced two women to go for an interview that I really think they can do the job, and guess what? The showed up and did it. I wish them all the best.

I then joined one of the powerful women in the country for a courtesy dinner that ended late.

I got home at 10:30 PM and reflected on my day and I said wow, that’s a special way to celebrate while on duty I smiled and slept.

To the woman that I have become, and I am becoming, it’s not my own doings, it’s a group of women who support me, who care for me, who check on me, and advise me daily, it’s also my mother who never gets tired of me or the grown me.

I wish I can mention them all here, but I want to jealously protect them and not show them to the rest of the world because they’re my support system, without these different women from different part of the world, race, ethnicity and religion, I can’t do it on my own. I thank you all so much.

To all the women here I just want to say, a happy international women’s day to you all from the bottom of heart. I Love you all.
